I can't lie... I'm glad this year is gone

Not so say that 2010 will be easy, but different anyway.  This year has just been hard on our family in a lot of ways, although there were some really amazing things we got to do (insert Oklahoma here), I am glad to see that change is coming, I think I know that it will be for the better.  We all have our New Years resolutions, mine are to become a better wife, mother, friend, daughter, sister, saint.  I love my family, I love my children and I love my friends. Thank you for your kindness, advice, love, laughter, patience, phone calls, friendship, concern and selflessness. I only hope that I can return it.

Christmas must be near...

I can't believe it's December already!!  For Black Friday, Brandi, Kendra, Summer and I started shopping the night before at 11pm and stayed up all night standing in long lines, shopping and eating at Denny's.  We had SO much fun!! This is us at Denny's at about 2am, we then went to Target and sat in line for hours, but I got everything I wanted on my list! Yay for me!!

We also went to Wal-mart where we hade a champions breakfast, I think this was about 9am, (things were fuzzy by then). All in all, it was great! I love my friends!!

Last week I was craving (no Brandi, I'm not!) some Chex muddy buddies, so we made some at my mom's house, and Kai helped...

Also last week Summer came over to do some crafts and brought her kids, everytime Carly and her friend Addie get together they seem to find trouble, especially when you would think there is none!  They dug out Kai's daipers and clothes and put them on!  They are so funny!

And last but not least... We went and cut down our Christmas tree today! We had so much fun! I loved it because this is the first year that we didn't have a baby and all three kids could help walk around and find the trees! They had so much fun!  Carly even found some snow to play in!

Nerdy Girls!

Last Thursday was so fun!!! My friend Summer, my mom and I went to go see New Moon opening night! My mom and I showed up at 8 for the midnight showing to get good seats... We brought Phase 10 and Uno to entertain us, earlier that day I got an idea and acted on it, (did I ever tell you I'm impulsive? :) I ran to Wal-Mart, grabbed red fabric and some shirts, ran home and started sewing like crazy to make the night 0h-so-much better!! Here are the results...

Just for those of you that have any idea what this is about, we are NOT the Volturi!! We are innocent bystanders from the city of Voltura! (I know, I already claimed to be nerdy!) Our shirts say 'Team Vampire' We got quite a few comments! we had so much fun and the movie was great! I love Summer and my mom for going along with me! Love you girls! We already are preparing for 'Eclipse' to come out! June 30, 2010!! Woo Hoo!

The girls are in their room playing pretend, they decided Carly was the mom and Lyv was the kitty. They play for a while and then I hear this...

Lyv: You can't ride me, I'm a kitty!
Carly: Yes I can, I ride kitties all the time!

New PJs!

I found some way cute PJs at Wal-Mart for the kids! It's perfect because it's starting to get colder at night and they were sporting some serious floods! Somehow we started a tradition with Carly's PJs, she has had monkeys of one kind or another forever! I totally scored!  I LOVE MY SILLY CHICK-A-DEES!!

Trick-or-Treating!

Best Week Ever!

This week was so fun for me! Not to say that there wasn't one child throwing up or another playing in the toilet, but that there were some REALLY fun things mixed into all of that! :) Monday for FHE we carved pumpkins with the kids. Lyv swore she would clean our her own pumpkin this year... until she looked into it. Carly was fascinated with the pumpkin guts! She kept asking if she could touch them, after a while she started tasting it... ew.

Kai was totally disgusted with the seeds and didn't want them near him.  Finally he couldn't resist watching Carly put her hands in it, so he had to find out for himself...

Lyv swears this is a dog! What do you think it is? (Hint: not a dog!)

Wednesday the girls and I made sugar cookie dough and cut out halloween cookies, Joey had Elders Quorum meetings so we stayed up late and decorated the cookies. 

Carly must have heard someone say "I want Sprinkles!"  There really is a cookie under the pile on the right... I swear!

 
That night we had craft night and Summer and I finally got to make the pumpkin jars we have been lusting after for weeks now! Yay! They are even cuter at night with orange lights in them! I have Halloween decorations for 2 days! WooHoo!!
 

This week was also drug free week at Lyv's school, on Thursday they had "drugs turn you inside out day"  So the kids were supposed to wear their clothes inside out and have crazy hair.  this is how lyv walked out the door!

Friday Lyv had her Halloween parade at school, Mom and I took Carly & Kai to go see her, She wouldn't hold the guitar! BRAT!!

Friday night was our ward party, here is some pics of the kids, I LOVE dressing them up! Halloween is my favorite Holiday!!

We also went to an adult party after, pics of that later!  Saturday (I'm almost done!) Summer and I ran a 5K race in Hurricane!  It was so fun! We dressed up for Halloween, Summer is so cute! I had vampire teeth in for the whole thing, I don't think you can really see them though.

Summer and I both came in third place for our age divisions! I really don't know how many people in my age division ran, maybe only 3, lol!, but it was still great to get an award!

Rock Star!!

Today Lyv had a birthday party to go to for a girl in her class at school. It was a halloween party so she got to dress up a whole week early in her costume, she was SO excited!! (Me too!) We got her hair and makeup all done, here it is! I can't wait for Halloween, Carly is going to be a witch and Kai is a biker dude. I love Halloween!!!

Bad News...

So... Joey has not been feeling good for a couple days, so we googled the symptoms for the Swine flu, and Joey fit the bill so I sent him to the doctor last night and they tested him. He has the Swine flu!!

 I'm terrified the kids will get it, Lyv has already been out of school for a couple days complaining of a headache, I called the doctor this morning to ask them what I should do, if we should get them tested.  I haven't heard back yet. But we are sanitizing everything and keeping Joey quarantined.  When he does come out, he has masks he can wear, Carly isn't sure how she feels about that yet.

 So, in the mean time I am sleeping on the couch and trying to keep everyone happy.  I'll post soon about the kids!

Happy Faces!

Last night I was making dinner and the girls were sitting at the table, they were just playing and I wasn't paying much attention to them, until they erupted in a fit of giggles! Carly was singing "put a happy face on your frowny face, put a frowny face on your happy face!" I looked over at them and this is what I saw...

Aren't they funny?  I love it when they get along so well and have fun as sisters, I didn't have a sister growning up, so it's so fun for me to see how much they enjoy each other. I love my silly girls! I even caught Carly with clothes on, Yay!!  Yesterday Carly got to go with Linda for the day and she had so much fun!  I am so thankful for you Linda and how much you love my kids!  Carly really was needing some one-on-one time, and sometimes it can be hard find that in my house! Thank you!! (for the love and the stickers!)

I'm back!!

I'm sorry it has been so long since I have posted! My life has been crazy lately and I just haven't been able to sit down and do this! So here we go!  My big Kai Boy turned 2 on Tuesday!!! I can't believe he's such a big boy! he is the funniest kid ever! His new phrase is "What the heck?!?" Isn't that cute?

These are his prize posessions from his birthday party Saturday night.  He got a Batman scooter and a John Deere tractor!  He's a happy boy! He's got a little cold going on so he and I didn't go to church today, hopefully the girls don't get it!  Thank you to everyone who got Kai something for his birthday! We love you!  I love you Kai! You are such a good, sweet boy! Happy Birthday! 

Better Late Than Never!

I have been wanting to post these pics for a week, but just haven't been able too! This week went by so fast and I'm not sure why! I did a cake this week, Yay! I found a friend of mine from highschool on Facebook and she saw my cake blog and asked me to do a cake for her sister who is about to have a baby! That is the first cake I have gotten through my cake blog, Awesome!!!

Last week we went to the County fair and worked the Taco Booth with our ward, it was hot, sweaty and we looked rediculous (excepet for Daniella, of course), but it was fun being there with friends!

We took the kids to the fair and they got to go into the petting zoo, they had a pony there to ride and I would have guessed that Lyv would be the only one to ride it. Turns out she was they ONLY one NOT wanting to ride it!

Kai even rode the pony! Wow!

Finally, Joey and I went to the Demolition Derby Saturday night, to say it was a Joke is putting it lightly! I won't go off on my tirade about it, don't get me wrong, the actual DEMOLITION part was awsome, but they were entirely unorganized, it literally lasted FOUR hours!!! Really people? Really!?!?!

Monday's Memories: Baby blue eyes

Once upon a time Kai had these amazing blue eyes that I just LOVED!! They have since turned a beautiful hazel, but I was thinking about that the other day and I don't quite know when they went away, but I knew they would, so I can't tell you how many of these close-ups I have taken of him. He was such a beautiful baby!

Now he's a handsome little boy!
