Rain, rain, go away.....

Not really..... Tuesday we got home from gymnastics and it started to actually rain hard, Lyv ran out into it and it was warm, she wanted to go run out in it, just then Carly woke up, so they threw on their swimming suit covers and headed out into the rain, right next to our house is a drainage thing for all the water that runs down (we are at the bottom of about 3 hills). the girls wanted to go play in it so I went back in and grabbed Kai. They headed out following the water, they had so much fun playing in it! Kai wasn't too sure about it at first... But he warmed up! The kids and I had so much fun just running around it the rain and water! It was just one of those rare times that we got to just run around and have fun, we ended up following the water for quite a ways down another hill behind our house. Lots of fun!!

Weekend Fun!

So.... No jousting... Boo!!!!! But, we did get to go watch them do something! We got a babysitter and everything, we show up to the fair on Saturday night and it is CRAZY windy! We wandered around the booths for a while then went and sat down, the first thing the announcer says is that because of the high winds, they can't do the jousting because the lances are made of real wood and it could be blown down into the horses face and injure the horses, but they would do some other things, which turned out to be fairly entertaining! Here are the knights that we were cheering on.

Sorry! I don't remember their names, we'll call them Sir Chubby and Sir Baldy. They divided everyone to cheer for one or the other, we had sir Baldy. The first thing they did was gallop past these stumps with the bulls-eye on them and throw an 8-foot spear at them for points.
Next, they explained that in Medieval (I know, I spelled it wrong earlier) times the knights would get prisoners to stand with fruit/veggies on their heads and try to run by on a horse and chop the veggies in half with a huge sword, so they got the jester up there, and I'm thinking "no way they are going to actually do this!" Well.... They did! they put a leather helmet on the Jester, then a metal one and had him stand (don't forget the crazy wind!) with a cabbage on his head and then ran by with the huge sword and chopped that cabbage right in half!! it was pretty awesome! It's not an amazing pic, 'King Arthur' literally had to stand there holding the cabbage onto the guys head and let go just in time for the knight to take a whack at it!

So after all the excitement we went to Red Lobster and had crab and lived happily ever after!
The End

Midievil Faire!!

I took the kids to the midievil faire at the Washington County fair grounds this morning and the kids had a blast! We got to watch 'William the completely average' do magic tricks mainly "pulling" coins out of people's ears, but the girls thought is was funny! Then we went and ate yummy Hawaiian food by the Falconer, he was interesting, (I'm mad for not taking a picture of him! I'm still getting used to this!). Then we went and had the girls turned into "fairy princesses", this was the highlight of the day! The girls loved all the attention, they put on fairy skirts, wings and got wands, then got glittered up head to toe, then had butterflies put on their cheeks.

Just when you think it's about to be over, they get magical crowns and sprayed with "fairy dust" that suspiciously smells like glittery perfume...

The they had to recite the fairy promise and **POOF**!! they are Official Fairy Princesses!!

Kai was ticked about sitting for so long, but the girls loved it!! He still just has to sit through all this girly junk! His day will come!

Here are the girls are leaving the faire headed to the car! They are just too precious for words!!

MORE TO COME! Joey and I are going to the Jousting and/or the King & Queen's Royal Feast tomorrow (Brodie is playing the king), just the two of us, I will post pics of that, I can't wait to see the jousting! It's gonna Rock!!! (Thank you Heath Ledger)

Go! Lyvi! Go!

Lyv played t-ball again today! She is doing so well and finally having some fun! She fielded the ball really well tonight! She got three kids out at third base! she caught the ball, and she hit the ball great! She throws left-handed but likes to hit right handed, sounds like she has the same complex as I do, I can't ever decide which hand to use, Joey played raquet ball with me ONCE and will never do it again!

Kai is the cutest little boy! He was walking with my mom to the concession stand to enjoy a hearty dinner of corn dogs and "sprite soda" and it was a moment I just had to capture! Lyv got her team hat today, our team name is........ (deep booming voice) THE SAND GNATS!!!!! Intimidating isn't it? I know, I wouldn't want to play them either.

FINALLY!!

I finally got the internet back today! I am so excited! so of course the first thing to do is create a blog! Sorry though, the only way my husband will let me have one is if it's private! I now get to share the exciting world of 3 little kids with everyone. recent stories would be calling poison control for carly or trying to keep kai from bleeding all over my carpet for a week while his toe heals!

Here is Lyv playing t-ball, she played her first game last week without any practice other than with her dad at the park the saturday before! She is serious about hitting the ball, but isn't really a fan of being in the outfield, in case her body language wasn't screaming that in your face!! Lyv is left-handed, so I had to get her a glove all her own, it matches her bat and shoes! So posh!!

Lyv has gymnastics on Tuesdays at 10 am, so after we usually go to lunch with my mom and then head to the water park in downtown st. george! Its great! We took Linda Parry with us this week and wore her out! The kids had a blast! Kai is finally getting used to being splashed and doesn't come running every time!
